Position Title: Online Nursing Faculty (Adjunct) – RN to BSN Program

Location: Remote

Position Type: Part-time, Adjunct

Reports To: Program Director for the RN to BSN Program

Job Summary: The Online Nursing Faculty (Adjunct) will be responsible for teaching baccalaureate-level nursing courses in the RN to BSN program. The incumbent will utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver course content, facilitate discussions, and assess student performance. The faculty member will also collaborate with other faculty and staff to ensure the highest quality of education for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Course Management: Develop and implement course syllabi, assignments, and assessments using the Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System.
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and interactive online lectures, discussions, and activities to facilitate student learning.
  • Student Support: Provide timely feedback and support to students, including answering questions, providing guidance, and offering academic counseling.
  • Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, exams, and other assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members and the program director to ensure curriculum alignment and consistency.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with nursing education trends and best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
  • Experience: Previous experience in nursing education, preferably online teaching.
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state of employment.
  • Skills: Proficiency with online teaching technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students in a virtual environment.
