Weather Update

Little has changed in the forecast since the last update.

Tropical Storm Debby has slowed to 3 miles per hour and has yet to make landfall. Predictions are the storm will track about 30 miles west of Scotland County tomorrow.

This area is still forecast for 4” to 8” of rain over the next 24 hours.

Wind speeds have increased over the last few hours and will continue throughout the night. Falling trees and damage to power lines could produce dangerous conditions.

Flash flooding remains a significant threat to the region.

The best protection is to stay inside.

Student Life staff and Campus Safety are on duty. Call (910) 280-2895 if you have concerns or questions.

The next update will be sent in the morning.

Be safe and have a good night.
