St. Andrews Hunt Seat Team Secures High Point Team Title; Savannah Hutto Named High Point Rider
Laurinburg, NC – February 24, 2025 – The St. Andrews University Hunt Seat Team delivered an outstanding performance this past weekend, earning the title of High Point Team. The team’s exceptional showing was highlighted by Savannah Hutto, who was named High Point Rider after dominating in both Open Equitation over Fences and Open Equitation on the Flat, securing first place in both events.
The competition showcased the depth of talent on the St. Andrews team, with riders excelling across multiple divisions:

Head Coach Kelsi Peterson praised the team’s performance, saying, “I couldn’t be prouder of this group of riders. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork were on full display this weekend. Savannah Hutto’s leadership and consistency were remarkable, and every rider contributed to this incredible achievement. We’re excited to carry this momentum into Regionals.”
Individual riders who have qualified will compete in the Regional show on March 29 at St. Andrews. If they qualify there, they will move on to Zones as individuals. Next show for the team is Zone 4 Finals at Virginia Tech.
