Dear Residential and Online Students,
I hope you are off to a great start this spring semester! By now, your spring course schedule should be finalized, you’ve attended classes, and worked with your academic advisor to make any necessary changes.
Key Dates to Remember
- Tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 9: Last day to add/drop Session A1 courses (courses which meet 1/7/25–2/28/25). After this date, you’ll be billed for withdrawn courses, and a "W" will appear on your transcript.
- Wednesday, Jan. 15: Last day to add/drop semester-long courses (courses which meet 1/7/25-4/30/25) without a "W."
Attendance Matters
- Attend every class and participate in assignments—it’s required!
- If you need to miss a class, inform your professor and find out if you can catch up on missed work.
- Excessive absences can impact your grade—check your syllabus for details.
Important Reminder
- Students enrolled in 8- or 16-week courses who have not attended or participated in class for 14 consecutive calendar days are at risk of being administratively withdrawn from their courses by the Dean of Academic Affairs.
- This may reduce the amount of financial aid you receive, delay your graduation, or impact your current athletic eligibility; withdrawal from a course does not relieve you of your obligation to pay tuition and fees owed to the college.
Contact your academic advisor TODAY if you have questions or concerns about your course schedule.
Wishing you a successful and productive spring semester!
Best regards,
Stephanie McDavid
