Hello SAU Students,
Who wants some EXTRA Scholarship Assistance which could start this semester?
Due to a vacancy, the SAU Pipe Band has some outside scholarship funding available for qualified candidates for a snare drummer and a bass drummer for our group. The qualified candidate could receive an EXTRA SCHOLARSHIP which could be applied toward your funding for this year…starting THIS semester!

Anyone interested should contact me ASAP AND NO LATER THAN NEXT TUESDAY – FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!!
Those interested should:
- ideally have some previous musical experience and preferably able to read music rhythms correctly
- have two hands and be able to count to 4 😉
- Previously experienced drummers who have played in a high school band would be ideal! BUT….WILL TRAIN/TEACH the right persons
- Have a very good sense of rhythm
- Ideally no other major extracurricular commitment, but can discuss….
- Be willing to learn something "new" and have fun with other members as we make music together!
- Be willing to commit to the group for both semesters this year
The SAU Pipe Band is made up of both off-campus and on-campus members. We perform at some local events during the year including our Graduation Ceremonies at the close of the year. CLASS CREDIT IS OFFERED FOR PARTICIPATION – and adding the class can be arranged even though we are past drop-add. Occasional weekend (Sunday afternoon) practices will be required starting later in the fall semester – no more than two per month during the school year.
