St. Andrews Bachelor of Science program in Sports Performance, Health, and Fitness equips students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide assessments, implementation, and progression of exercise programming for diverse populations. Moreover, students learn management and leadership skills that can be applied to a wide variety of workout and wellness programs.

Exercise Improves Health and Well-Being In Many Populations

With our dynamic degree program in Sports Performance, Health, and Fitness, students gain an understanding of the scientific principles necessary for optimizing exercise assessment and programming as well as improving health, fitness, and wellness.

Program Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the area of sports performance and fitness.
  • Identify and describe the key components of health-related fitness.
  • Design client-specific programs and make modifications based on assessment results.
  • Identify and describe how to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of an exercise program for various populations.
  • Apply administrative skills, knowledge and understanding of planning, organizing, as well as evaluating various clients in sports performance and fitness.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills in their interactions with various clients in sports performance and fitness.
  • Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors, consistent with existing codes of conduct, laws, and regulations.
