- 70% of you emphasized that we need clear and transparent processes for handling both academic and personal misconduct. Everyone agreed: Knowing your rights and how things work is essential!
- Restorative Justice is the Way to Go
- 60% of participants prefer a restorative justice approach, focusing on learning and personal growth rather than punishment. - 65% of you said that keeping the process confidential is key. We agree! Balancing transparency while protecting everyone’s privacy is a top priority.
- Student + Faculty Representation Matters
- 80% of participants strongly support having both students and faculty on the Honor Council. This way, everyone’s voice is heard, and we avoid bias.
- The Honor Council Should Be Educational
- 55% of you believe the Council should not only handle cases but also teach important lessons. Especially for first-time offenses, it’s about helping students grow from their experiences.
