The Student Services Committee wants to send a huge THANK YOU to the 76 members of our community who took part in the Honor Council Feedback Survey! Your voice matters, and we’re excited to share the key results with you.

Here’s What You Told Us:

1. Clear Procedures are a Must

• 70% of you emphasized that we need clear and transparent processes for handling both academic and personal misconduct. Everyone agreed: Knowing your rights and how things work is essential!

2. Restorative Justice is the Way to Go

• 60% of participants prefer a restorative justice approach, focusing on learning and personal growth rather than punishment. 3. Confidentiality Builds Trust

• 65% of you said that keeping the process confidential is key. We agree! Balancing transparency while protecting everyone’s privacy is a top priority.

4. Student + Faculty Representation Matters

• 80% of participants strongly support having both students and faculty on the Honor Council. This way, everyone’s voice is heard, and we avoid bias.

5. The Honor Council Should Be Educational

• 55% of you believe the Council should not only handle cases but also teach important lessons. Especially for first-time offenses, it’s about helping students grow from their experiences.

6. Easier Reporting, Please!
