FREE Events for This Weekend

Knight Nation,

We’re excited to invite you to several fun and FREE events happening THIS weekend:

Genealogy Lecture by Dr. Bruce Durie:
On Friday, October 4th, at 1 p.m., Dr. Bruce Durie, a visiting genealogist and scholar, will give a lecture in the Hagan Choral Room. He’ll explore DNA research and its impact on genealogy, which will be fascinating for all, regardless of ancestry.

Friday Night Fling:
Join us at McDuffie Square from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, October 4th, for live entertainment from folk-rock bands, food trucks, and beverages. This Scottish-themed event is open to everyone and had over 1,000 attendees last year. We will be running shuttles from St. Andrews, starting at 5 p.m. with trips every 25-30 minutes. The last shuttle will be announced in advance, so you can plan your return to campus. Don’t miss out on the fun!

A Night of Gaelic Concert:
On Saturday, October 5th, at 7 p.m., we’ll host "A Night of Gaelic" in Avinger Auditorium. Enjoy vocal performances, fiddling, piping, and poetry celebrating the Scots Gaelic language that has historical roots in our area. Free entry for the St. Andrews community!

We hope to see you there!
