Your Input Needed: St. Andrews University Honor Council System

Dear St. Andrews University Community,
We are excited to introduce the upcoming St. Andrews University Honor Council System, which is scheduled to launch in 2025. This system is being developed to support our values of education, accountability, and reconciliation. It will ensure that both academic and personal behavior are addressed fairly and openly, promoting trust across our campus.
Purpose:
The Honor Council will encourage students and staff to act with honesty and respect. It aims to educate our community about ethical behavior, while promoting accountability for actions and offering pathways for reconciliation when mistakes are made.
Benefit:
The system provides a clear and fair process for addressing any misconduct. It serves as both a learning tool for ethics and personal responsibility and a means of fostering reconciliation, allowing individuals to learn and grow from their experiences.
Goal:
Our goal is to create a lasting system that ensures accountability and reconciliation are at the heart of our community, while maintaining education as a key component. This will help build a strong, fair, and responsible university environment.
Since we are still working on this initiative, we would love to hear from you! Please share your ideas, concerns, or suggestions to help shape the system to meet the needs of everyone in our community.
Participate in our feedback survey https://forms.office.com/r/8Kqi0nk8WA?origin=lprLink , or use the QR code.

Thank you for being part of this important project. Together, we can build a stronger, more accountable university.
With Integrity and respect,
Student Services Committee
