Study Hall Begins Friday, September 6!
You will need to have at least 5 hours by 9:00 P.M. Thursday, September 12.
*Students are responsible for logging in and out of the Learning Commons computer on the first floor of the Detamble Library.
Who has Study Hall?
- All Freshman and new transfer students
- Academic Probation Students – SAU Returners with less than a 2.0 GPA
The Study Hall week begins each Friday and ends Thursday evenings at 9:00 P.M.
Various Ways to Earn Study Hall Hours:
- Go to the Learning Commons in the Detamble Library.
- 8:30am to 10:00pm – Monday-Thursday
- 8:30-5:00 – Friday
- 4:00-10:00 – Sunday
- Participate in Coach Directed Team Study Hall and Team Travel.
- Attend Tutoring or Engaged Instruction Sessions – Sign the attendance roster for each session. The EI instructor or Tutor will send the attendance roster to Academic Success after each session. We will enter your EI/Tutor time for you.
- Meet with your Professor or Advisor! Simply ask them to send me a brief email specifying the date and time of your meeting.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and webinars. Normally, study hall credit is offered.
Study Hall is an opportunity for academic support!
We are here to support your academic journey!
Always bring work and leave your cell phone in the dorm, if it is a distraction. If you are distracting others, you will lose the privilege to earn study hall hours in the Learning Commons. You will receive one warning.
