The Care Corner

The Care Corner at St. Andrews University is committed to supporting the well-being and success of our students by providing essential resources to those in need. Our pantry, located on the first floor of DeTamble Library, offers a range of free items, including toiletries, stationary items, non-perishable foods, and dorm supplies, to ensure that every student has access to the basic necessities required for both academic and personal success. Students’ usage of the Care Corner is kept confidential.

We strive to create a welcoming, compassionate environment where students can access help without worry, fostering a stronger, more supportive campus community.

Supplies vary based on donations, but the Care Corner typically has:

  • Toiletry items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo
  • Non-perishable food items: canned goods, microwavable dishes that students can prepare in their dorm rooms
  • Stationary items: pencils, pens, notebooks, and other class supplies
  • Dorm supplies: blankets and occasional items like torch lamps and alarm clocks

If you have questions about the Care Corner, please email Mr. Seth Allen, Director of DeTamble Library at [email protected].

Donating to the Care Corner

We rely on donations from generous faculty, staff, students, and community supporters. If you would like to donate to the Care Corner, please consider donating items on the ‘What to Bring With You’ list compiled by Student Affairs for incoming students:

You may bring donations to the library – library staff will store them in the Care Corner.
